A Light in the Wilderness
A place where faith meets healing, and God’s light leads us through life’s hardest seasons with hope, courage, and grace.
Welcome
Shinning Through
A Light in the Wilderness is a Christ-centered space dedicated to encouraging, equipping, and walking alongside those who are navigating life’s hard seasons. As a Christian single mom and counselor-in-training, I share faith, mental health, and the beauty of nature as reminders that even in the darkest places, God’s light still shines.
Why the Wilderness?
The wilderness is both a physical and spiritual image. In Scripture, Jesus spent forty days in the wilderness, and Moses led God’s people through it. These were times of testing, refining, and growth. In the same way, our modern-day wilderness seasons—marked by grief, addiction, anxiety, trauma, or uncertainty—can become places where God meets us, shapes us, and brings transformation.
What You’ll Find Here
This space exists to bring hope and encouragement to those who feel lost, weary, or overwhelmed. Through personal stories, biblical truth, reflections on mental health, and lessons drawn from creation, A Light in the Wilderness points readers back to Jesus—the only source of true healing and peace.
Faith and Psychology
The writing here blends the practical with the spiritual. You’ll find evidence-based insights on mental health alongside timeless wisdom from God’s Word. Nature—mountains, rivers, forests, and skies—serves as a reminder of God’s presence and His power to restore weary souls.
You Belong Here
This is a space for anyone walking through hardship. It is for those who long for resilience, hope, and a reminder that they are not alone. Whether you are wrestling with faith, navigating recovery, facing relational struggles, or simply yearning for encouragement in a busy and broken world, you are welcome.
Heart of This Mission
At its core, A Light in the Wilderness exists to shine Christ’s light into hard places. It reminds us that the wilderness is not the end of the story. Instead, it points every heart toward the One who redeems, restores, and makes all things new
